Seemingly detached and incredibly stylish, he created portraits of the New York scene as well as idyllic landscapes. Printmaking plays an equally central role in Katzs work. He uses lithographs, etchings, silkscreens, woodcuts and linocuts to reproduce, reflect and further reduce
