He was son of the equally famed Princeton Presbyterian, Archibald Alexander, who was succeeded as Principal of Princeton by Samuel Miller. Absolutely superb content, including well in excess of 100 references to the Presbyterian church's interaction with slavery, abolitionism, colonization, and the
