Cuvée 1966 Magnum 2022 Domaine Ratte digging into grey-green schist streakedThe vines behind Cuve 1966 were planted that year by Jean Michel's father, the same vines he once sold off to the cooperative without knowing what they might become. Now Jean Michel's son Lo tends and vinifies them, which makes this quietly a wine with three generations of Petit in the glass. Old vine Chardonnay from Pupillin's limestone rich soils, aged in wood, rich and precise in equal measure: a creamy depth held in check by real mineral tension.
