Martyrs A Treatise on the Lord'sA very attractively preserved and boldly signed autobiography of the evangelist who "never lost the wonder of it all," Gipsy Smith. Smith was of course converted to Christ by a prison chaplain while his father was incarcerated, but quickly came under the influence of William Booth. Booth recognized his calling and Smith began to serve as an Evangelist with the Salvation Army. After six years of successful ministry, he was relieved of duty. In 1882,
