The "topper" of the box comes unattached to facilitate easier painting. You will want to glue it on after you've completed the design. We recommend you do not paint any surface that will have glue on it This small reliquary (ossuary) was inspired by a photograph of one in the front of the Hedalen stave church, just below the altar piece painted in 1767 by Hovel
